Las Vegas Raiders Revamped their logo design
The Raiders, previously known as Oakland Raiders, are very enthusiastic for the upcoming events in 2020.
The Raiders share
a long history with Oakland. Before Las Vegas, the Raiders played in Oakland
from 1960-1981 and then moved back again from 1995 to 2019.
The team recently
revealed their newly revamped logo on twitter for their upcoming game series.
The main ideology
behind the logo was to pay tribute to the AFL Coach of the Year Mr. Davis. The torch placed in the middle of the logo, which used to be lit before the beginning
of each match, depicts Mr. Davis enduring vision that the brightly burning fire
encourages the willpower to win.
With the
completion of the 2015 season, the Raiders fled to Los Angeles with the Rams
and Chargers. After hearing about the rams and chargers moving plan, the
raiders were determined to find a new stadium home.
People anticipated
Raiders would move to San Antonio but, contrary to what people expected, they
chose to settle in Las Vegas.
The Raiders will
be sharing their new home with another professional sports franchise: the Vegas
Golden Knights of the National Hockey League who came to the city long time
ago.
The new stadium is
expected to host a Super Bowl Season soon. The upcoming locations will be Miami
(Super Bowl LIV), Tampa (LV), Los Angeles (LVI), Glendale, AZ (LVII) and New
Orleans (LVIII).
The draft for 2020
NFL and Raider moving to their new home will happen simultaneously.
According to the 247Sports
NFL Mock Draft, the Raiders have decided to select Clemson linebacker Isaiah
Simmons from Clemson at No. 12 overall.
Lance Cartelli has
been reported saying, “With their initial first-round pick, the Raiders get a
steal in the athletic specimen out of Clemson,”
She further added,
“Simmons, who could play linebacker or defensive back in the NFL, looks like
the prototypical defender in the modern NFL.”
Raiders made their second pick in the first round (No. 19 via the Chicago Bears) where they Alabama wide receiver Henry Ruggs.
